Students from schools, masajid, and Quran programs across the Midwest come together on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Alhuda Foundation in Fishers, Indiana, for a day built around the Quran and the example of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

What does the day look like?

Check-in and breakfast
Students arrive, check in with their representative, and have breakfast.

A short welcome, how the day runs, and what students can expect.

Grades 1 to 6 start reciting at 9:00 AM sharp.

A short break while the next group takes their places.

Grades 7 to 12 start their recitations.

The last students recite and the competition closes.

Everything after the 9:00 AM start is approximate and shifts a little with the number of students taking part.
What are the students reciting?
Group A
Grades 1 to 6Recites from 9:00 AM until around 11:00 AM
Group B
Grades 7 to 12Recites from around 11:15 AM until 1:00 or 2:00 PM
Who can register students?
Registration runs through organizations
- Students enter through a participating Islamic school, masjid, Sunday school, Quran program, or other recognized Islamic organization.
- Individual entries are not accepted, so parents cannot register their own children directly.
- Each organization can enter up to three students in Group A and three in Group B.
- Send one registration per organization, even when different teachers look after different age groups.
- A masjid and its Sunday school or Islamic school count as separate organizations, so each one can send its own six students.
Who can be the representative
Every organization picks one representative to register its students and receive all the updates from us.
- Imam
- Quran program teacher or director
- Islamic school principal or administrator
- Sunday school teacher or director
- Any other authorized representative of the organization
Choosing who represents you
Many organizations hold a small selection competition of their own to decide who goes. That is encouraged but not required. Teachers can just as easily choose students on the strength of their recitation and memorization, or ask who is interested. How you choose is entirely up to you.
Getting your students ready
Start early so every student has time to sit with the assigned ayat before the day. The full registration information and rules cover everything else your organization needs to know.

A student can do both. The day is planned around it, so tell us on the form who is also playing and we will fit them into the running order around their games.
How are students judged?
Memorization
Accuracy and strength of the memorized ayat
Enunciation
Correct pronunciation and articulation of every letter
Tajwid
Application of the rules, including proper waqf and ibtida
Beautification
Excellence and beauty of the overall performance
Every judge holds an ijazah in Hafs an Asim. The two groups are scored separately and each one has its own set of prizes, handed out at the awards ceremony around 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
Register your students
One registration covers your whole organization, and there is no fee. Add up to three students in Group A and three in Group B. If you only have students in one group, leave the other empty.
